SHIPPING POLICY

At Stony Tackle Shack, we're committed to getting your premium fishing gear to you as quickly and affordably as possible. Here's everything you need to know about our shipping process.

WHERE WE SHIP

We currently ship to:

  • All provinces and territories across Canada
  • United States
  • We're actively expanding to Japan, Europe, and Mexico - stay tuned for updates!

SHIPPING COSTS & RATES

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Your delivery location
  • Package weight and dimensions
  • Selected shipping method
  • Time of year (rates may vary seasonally)

We work with trusted carriers including Canada Post, UPS, and other regional couriers to provide you with the best rates and service.

PROCESSING TIME

Orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days during regular store hours:

  • Wednesday to Friday: 9am - 5pm
  • Saturday: 7am - 4pm
  • Sunday: 7am - 2pm
  • Closed Mondays and Tuesdays (except summer: Noon - 5pm)

Please note: Processing times may be longer during peak fishing seasons (spring/summer) and holidays.

DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES

Estimated delivery times vary by location:

  • Local Alberta: 2-5 business days
  • Canada: 3-10 business days
  • United States: 5-15 business days
  • International: 10-30 business days

Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on carrier performance, customs clearance (for international orders), weather conditions, and seasonal demand.

TRACKING YOUR ORDER

Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email. You can use this to monitor your delivery status in real-time.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS - DUTIES & TAXES

For international shipments:

  • Duties and taxes are calculated and displayed at checkout where applicable
  • You'll know the total cost upfront - no surprise fees upon delivery
  • Customs clearance times vary by country and are beyond our control
  • You're responsible for complying with your country's import regulations

CURRENCY & PAYMENT

International customers can pay in their local currency for a seamless checkout experience.

SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

Please note:

  • Live/Frozen Bait: Due to the perishable nature of live and frozen bait, these items are available for local pickup only or within limited shipping zones. Contact us at info@stonytackleshack.ca before ordering if you need bait shipped.
  • Some products may have shipping restrictions to certain regions due to size, weight, or regulations.

SHIPPING DELAYS

While we strive for on-time delivery, factors beyond our control may cause delays:

  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Carrier delays or strikes
  • Customs processing (international orders)
  • Remote or rural delivery locations
  • Peak season volume

We appreciate your patience and will do our best to keep you informed of any significant delays.

LOST OR DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

If your order arrives damaged or goes missing:

  1. Contact us immediately at info@stonytackleshack.ca
  2. Provide your order number and photos (if damaged)
  3. We'll work with the carrier to resolve the issue and get you your gear
