Just as the name implies the Foam October Caddis is best fished in the fall when these large drys start emerging. Fish cannot resist this hatch.

The black and orange variant of our popular Foam Hopper fly is a staple in our fly boxes. Paired with a beadhead nymph make an excellent hopper/dropper set up. Make sure to do your best to match the hatch with the nymph and there should be plenty of dry and sub-surface trout action.

This is our favorite color variant of our Foam Hoppers. It seems most of the hoppers around central Alberta are of this color and we always make sure to have this fly in a few different sizes. Our Foam Ant Black tends to work best during or just after periods of rain when these small bugs are washed into our streams and lakes. Once in the water they are helpless and tend to shake about as they try to get to safety. It is at this time that trout strike. Float it downstream and dead drift or give it the slightest of twitches to imitate a struggling ant.

In the lakes we fish, pike tend to feed on yellow perch more than anything else. We created the Finesse Changer Yellow Perch to mimic the shape, movement and colours of yellow perch making this fly super effective for anything with teeth.

What is our favourite colour of pike fly? Pink of course! Our Feather Changer Hot Pink is exactly how we want it. Great action in the water, light enough to cast and bright enough you can see it from as far as you can cast. There is nothing more exciting than watching your flies suddenly disappear. Fish on!!!

Designed as a longer version of our Feather changer Chartreuse /White, the XL is meant for big, mean bull trout. The feathers combined with 5 sections of articulation create a fly the is irresistible to predators.

Our Feather Changer Chartreuse and White came about after a season of casting our Gamechanger Rainbow. We loved the action but it soaked up a lot of water and felt like a wet sock when casting. This fly has much the same action but casts significantly easier.

Another staple hopper/beetle fly pattern, the Fat Albert is great in fast flowing water. Our Fat Albert is made of 3-layer foam to keep it riding high in the water.

The Yellow Elk Hair Caddis is what dry fly fishing is all about. Many huge Brown Trout have been pulled out from under banks with these. Works as well dead drifted as it does on the swing. Trout even love to hit it while it is being pulled upstream during retrieval.

The central Alberta caddis fly season starts in mid to late June and runs right through till mid September. A good fly to start on any stream with, the Elk Hair Caddis Olive will work during the entire season and even a little into October.

The Elk Hair Caddis Foam Body Brown performs just like standard Elk Hair Caddis but the addition of the foam body keeps this one floating all day long.

Our most popular color variant, the Elk Hair Caddis Brown represents the most common color of caddis fly here in Alberta.
