We find the Olive Beadhead Hare's Ear fly generally best used on sunny days. Depending on what you're targeting change how you fish it. If you are going for whitefish consider adding a split shot so you can be sure to get it to the bottom before their strike range. When going for trout experiment to find the right feed zone and if needed even try the Olive Hare's Ear without the beadhead to keep it higher in the water column.
