Our San Juan Worm Red can be used almost anytime in any situation and still produce results.

From the famous San Juan river the San Juan Worm Pink is an excellent pattern for all kinds of fish in flowing water.

Often washed into streams during periods of heavy rain, worm fly patterns can be vital during periods of high water. Our orange San Juan Worm is usually our go to fly during these times and well, pretty much anytime.

The RS2 Olive is a killer emerger pattern, however we prefer to fish it more like a nymph and have found that the swing really draws out trout.

One of our favourite stillwater emerger patterns, the RS2 Grey is also efficient when nymphing as well. This fly is often used in our stocked Alberta fly fishing ponds.

A derivative of the Royal Coachman, the Royal Wulff is also an excellent dry fly searching pattern.

The Royal Coachman is an excellent dry searching pattern. When tied to a searching wet fly like a Doc Spratley, the Royal Coachman provides an efficient way to search the surface as well as the depths. The current Trickflies.ca record holder for Grayling. 

The Reese Pieces Tan with Brown Thread is a popular pattern on the Bow River in Calgary, AB. An often requested fly from our friends at Bow River Fly Fishing Company, that once we tried on our local waters, we just had to place into stock. Dead drift it and watch the fish move.

Dead drifting our Reese Pieces Brown With Orange Thread almost always results in success. We like to fishing it with a big stimulator or hopper on the top, however most times it is the worm that hooks up.

The Red Butt Chironomid Red is a very effective still water pattern. Hover it about 1 ft off the ground and wait for the take. You likely wont be waiting long.

The best part about fishing with the Red Butt Chironomid Olive is it catches fish, lots of fish!

Our Red Butt Chironomid Black is best fished under an indicator or with a very slow retrieve. Work on all sorts of trout, whitefish, perch, and more.

Wasps are easy meals for trout when they land on the water they are usually stuck and irresistible for trout. As one of our more effective patterns, the Realistic Stonefly Nymph Black is quite often used in the lower mountain/foothill streams.
